A few Fridays before Christmas I made my way to Portobello beach to have a wee shoot with the gorgeous Bobbie and his owner Claire! This is another EDCH success story. Bobbie the Shizu was a rescue staying with the EDCH here in Edinburgh and then he found his forever home with his lovely new owner Claire! Poor little man did suffer some abuse whilst he was with his previous owners and was a bit nervous to begin with in his new home. That said, you can see his complete transformation now with his new family…..

A Bloomin’ Marvellous Romantic Shoot – Louise and Craig. #engagementphotography

We were very very lucky the other day in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh. Not only did we have our first combined Engagement/Maternity shoot but it gave us a chance to shoot in one of Edinburgh’s most iconic and romantic spots.

Aren’t they a cute couple? Super good fun to work with. Had a great laugh all afternoon.

We’re now very excited to meet their new baby at the wedding in May. For more photos from the shoot follow the link below –

Stolen Moments 365 Project

Two posts in one day! I know we’re spoiling you! We are just very excited to be sharing with you our newest creative endeavour. We’ve decided to get back to our Street Photography roots just recently and since doing so have come up with a project that Katie and I are really excited about. Our street photography was the very thing that gave us the confidence to move into wedding photography in the first place. We shoot together when we’re out so naturally focus on moments of intimacy. Realising we had been creating a catalogue of shots involving the capture of these moments it seemed natural to invest ourselves in a project that shared this with our followers, friends and family.

We’ll be blogging each picture here on our WordPress and our new Weebly blogs respectively as well as posting up the content on our personal 365 project page.

We’ve already had an amazing response on Facebook to the photos and the first few posts on the 365 website so we’re super excited to share it with you guys!

If you like it, do remember to like and share it with friends. And if you really like it, don’t forget to leave us some comments!

Matt ( and Katie)

Hi guys! Sorry for the hiatus on posts. We’ve been insanely busy this summer with birthdays, maternity, weddings and all sorts. We have also now launched a new website, thankfully under the same domain name – Please do join us and head over for a gander at our new site now! Be lovely to hear from you 🙂 we’ve got some spectaulculat offers on for autumn so don’t miss out!

You Don’t Take A Photograph, You Make It.

As said by the late, great Ansel Adams and how right he was. Whilst Matt has been a photographer for a few years now I’m really just beginning to hone my photographic skills. I’ve always been passionate about photography but it was always more of a hobby until I saw how much pleasure Matt felt, joining in with couples for their special day. That was when I decided I wanted to stop taking photos and start making them.
We are lucky in Edinburgh to have one of the most photogenic cities in the world. I love nothing more than grabbing my trusty Canon and heading out to take candid pictures, the people of Edinburgh are an interesting lot.
Working with my partner in business and life is a real pleasure and I’m so delighted that we have not only set up our photography business but we are now also running a Camera Club for the children of Edinburgh. It is a project I am genuinely excited about and can’t wait to teach them ‘You don’t take a photograph, you make it.’

Susan and Stephen, Orocco Pier, South Queensferry

Susan and Stephen’s wedding was a pleasure to shoot from start to finish. As anyone who has ever visited Orocco Pier in South Queensferry will no doubt know it’s very hard not to enjoy yourself – they chose their venue well! With sweeping views across the Firth of Forth to both the Road and Rail bridges this truly was an epic way to celebrate a very intimate occasion.
